      The town of Gettysburg is, by its very nature,haunted. Due,primarily, to the fact that during the three day struggle here at Gettysburg in July of 1863 over 51,000 young men lie in the streets and fields wounded, dying, or already dead. When those young men, the average age of which was 19, came here to Gettysburg they had a lot of life left to live, a lot of unfulfilled dreams, a lot of unfinished business. That unfinished business, according to the experts, is where your ghosts come from. Yes, according to those experts, at the point of death a spirit has two choices; it can follow the light or it can stay behind to take care of that unfinished business. When a spirit stays behind, it gets trapped in that never world in between where it can spend an eternity attempting to take care of that "unfinished business". In the process of taking care of that "unfinished business" many spirits have made their presence known here at Gettysburg and, as a result, there are many ghost stories to be heard.

      The GHOSTLY TALES OF GETTYSBURG AUTHOR'S  TOURS are based on published eyewitness accounts of these very events. There are currently Five Volumes of Ghost Stories from the "GHOSTLY TALES OF GETTYSBURG" SERIES OF BOOKS, with more to come in the near future. It seems that Gettysburg has become synonymous with Ghost Stories over the years.Visitors come here regularly to see if what they read in the various books about the many Hauntings on the Battlefield and in various Historic Buildings in the town are, in fact, true.

JOE KERRIGAN -- Actor,Professional Storyteller, Author, Entertainer, & Owner of GHOSTLY GETTYSBURG BACKSTREET TOURS, brings a Theatrical background to the forefront in his storytelling presentations. He performs, in character, as an "Old Timer" giving his presentation more depth as he weaves Gettysburg's history with the highly entertaining Ghost Stories from Joe Kerrigan's famed GHOSTLY TALES OF GETTYSBURG GHOST BOOK SERIES.
