COME JOIN US ON NEW YEAR’S EVE. Christ Lutheran’s role in Gettysburg’s New Year’s Eve celebration is growing. Since inception in 2001, more than 6,000 people have visited Christ Lutheran during the course of our New Year’s Eve open houses. As in prior years, our main church and the Social Room will be open to the community, and we will provide free entertainment, fun, and refreshments throughout the evening. This is a great way to ring out the old year and bring in the new year with your family, friends, and neighbors.
Current plans include:
Main Sanctuary7:30pm-8:30pm--music performance -- jazz by Herb Sell
8:45pm-9:30pm--magician -- Joe ‘The Professor’ Kerrigan, Civil War–era magic
9:45pm-10:15pm--sing-along -- seasonal and traditional songs led by Christ Lutheran musicians
10:30pm-11:30pm-- music performance by Cormorants Fancy -- folk, Celtic and seasonal tunes
11:40pm-11:50pm--a brief worship service to thank God for our blessings in 2011, and to seek God’s guidance and blessings in 2012
